LIFE IS TO BE LIVED, TRAVELED, & EATEN WHILE DRESSED IN ALL YOUR FAVORITES!

Mystic Hot Springs

I’m pretty sure I found the fountain of youth!! This Natural Hot Springs is located in📍Monroe, Utah (2 hours 45 minutes from Salt Lake City) and helllllooooo minerals – You might think the water looks dirty… no it isn’t, just insanely full of minerals to the point I didn’t need to put on lotion until the following day. That’s saying something for a person with majorly dry skin!

A soaking pass is $25 for adults, $12.50 for children under 12 – that’s a lot less money than a spa treatment and your skin will thank you!

The water flows at 200 gallons per minute and is 168°F… Yes that is too hot for our bodies but don’t worry, the water cools as it flows down the mountain to the 5 manmade bathtubs and 2 pools so by the time it gets to us it’s a comfortable bath/hot tub temperature.

Each tub and pool area is a different temperature… I asked one of the guys working how they control the temperature and he simply said, “by redirecting the water”.

⚠️ RESERVATION REQUIRED – contrary to years past, you need a resy for the hot springs. They turn people away every day because of no reservation. We had no idea as this was a spur of the moment road trip but got super lucky – arrived at 7:15pm & someone had just canceled their 8pm time slot. Don’t chance it, make a reservation: mystichotsprings.com.

You will get a 2-hour time slot which was more than enough time… we only stayed an hour but that’s because I don’t like turning into a prune, ha!

While roaming the property you will see 15 or so peacocks 🦚, ducks, geese, etc. Be respectful and don’t get too close – they are used to people on property but animals are unpredictable.

They have a cute little boutique with local products, jewelry, clothes, etc. & towels to rent for $2. Since this was a spur of the moment idea for us we had bathing suits in our suitcase but no towels.

They have community showers with very warm water, but of course… My skin still didn’t need lotion even after showering. Seriously the minerals in Mystic Hot Springs are amazing – if only this was in my backyard,

Accommodations – if the van life is for you, you can stay overnight or bring your own RV. My van life quota was maxed out while living in Australia in college and trying to survive a weekend in a Wicked Van… IYKYK 🤣🙅🏼‍♀️

If you love Hot Springs and charming towns – check out my post Midway, Utah and the Crater Hot Spring.

Always remember, LIFE IS TO BE LIVED, TRAVELED, & EATEN WHILE DRESSED IN ALL YOUR FAVORITES!
