LIFE IS TO BE LIVED, TRAVELED, & EATEN WHILE DRESSED IN ALL YOUR FAVORITES!

Visit Butch Cassidy’s home

Did you know you can visit the childhood home of the infamous outlaw Butch Cassidy on your drive to/from Lake Powell?! It’s a great stop to get out and stretch your legs, educate the kids, and bonus, it’s FREE!

My husband and I decided to change things up from our typical drive home of Highway 20 to I-15 to get to Salt Lake City, UT and instead we took Highway 89 all the way home.

Taking Highway 89 from Page, Arizona (Lake Powell) to SLC will add about 45 minutes to your drive but it’s well worth it if you have the time and want to make a few stops at places like Big Rock Candy Mountain, Butch Cassidy’s home, Mystic Hot Springs, and see several adorable small towns and old cemeteries along the way.

Looking for something in Northern Utah? Have you visited Midway, Utah?!

Butch Cassidy’s Home

Butch Cassidy’s historic home is located in South-Central Utah, on Highway 89 in Circleville which is 30 minutes north of Panguitch, Utah and 1 hour south of Richfield, Utah. Address for maps: Circleville, UT 84723

The home was built in 1863 and Butch lived here from ages 14 – 18 during the years 1880 – 1884.

The home only allows you to walk in about 15 feet (I mean it makes sense since it’s a historic home but I’ll be honest, I was disappointed I had to look through the glass, ha… and hence the glare in my photos) but you definitely get an idea of what life would have been like in the late 1800s.

On the property you will see the tiny home as well as the barn and several old tools.

Hope you can make it here to enjoy this little slice of history!

Remember… LIFE IS TO BE LIVED, TRAVELED, & EATEN WHILE DRESSED IN ALL YOUR FAVORITES!
